James Mahaffey, Jr.

James Richard Mahaffey, Jr. 57, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 in his home after a period of declining health.

Jim was born December 30, 1964, in Utica, New York to James Mahaffey, Sr. of New Philadelphia and the late Beverly Joan (Roberts) Mahaffey.

He graduated from Kent State University at Tuscarawas and Stark State College.  He was employed at Methodist Hospital in Orlando, Florida as a laboratory technician until relocating to New Philadelphia.

Jim enjoyed computers and was looking forward to teaching computer classes until his health declined.  He was also a talented musician and wrote music.  He was a member of The Neighbors Band.

In keeping with his wishes, Jim is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and no public visitation or services will to be held.
