Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Copeland, chair of Maryland State Arts Council and guardian of African-American art, dies

Jacqueline “Jackie” Copeland, the former executive director of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and a longtime, passionate advocate for the arts, died Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center. She was 76.
