Irene H. Snyder

Irene H. Snyder, 87 of Lincoln, died at 6:40 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Generations of Lincoln Rehabilitation. She was born May 29, 1933 in Springfield, to John P. and Eva Stark Burris. She married Max William “Bill” Snyder and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1990.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Young of Williamsville; two sons, Tom Cory (Rose Landess) and Rick (Mindy) Cory, both of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Jason, Taylor, Blake, and Aaron Cory, Joe Wasilewski, Adam Young, and Jamie Cory; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chris Cory; eight sisters and one brother.

Irene retired as a LPN for Villa West Retirement Center and had previously worked for various nursing facilities and doctor’s offices.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sherman and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Graveside Service: 11 am, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
