In Memoriam: Leonard (Tony) Anthony Frias
- July 27, 2023
Our hearts are engulfed in immeasurable grief as we announce the passing of Tony, who departed this earthly realm on July 25th 2023. Cancer may have stolen him from our grasp, but it can never rob us of the profound love, joy, and inspiration he bestowed upon us during his time with us.
Born on August 26th, 1967, Tony was a soul of boundless compassion, a guiding light that touched the lives of all who encountered him. His love for his family knew no boundaries, and he embraced each of us with warmth and tenderness, infusing our lives with an eternal flame of affection.
Tony was not just a father; he was the rock upon which our family stood. He embraced fatherhood with unmatched devotion, imparting wisdom, instilling values, and offering unwavering support through every triumph and tribulation. His gentle words of encouragement served as a constant source of strength. He led a remarkable life filled with purpose and passion. He dedicated himself to his family, nurturing a bond that will forever remain unbreakable. His unconditional love and unwavering support were a source of strength for his loved ones during both joyous and challenging times.
In addition to his roles as a loving father, Tony was a true patriot, dedicating himself to both his country and community. As a military veteran, he fearlessly served his nation for over 20 years, exemplifying courage and selflessness in the face of adversity. After his time in the military, he continued his commitment to excellence as a cherished member of the Starbucks manufacturing team for 16 years. His strong work ethic and passion for perfection shone brightly in all he did.
Tony, a passionate individual with a heart of a true sports enthusiast, holds a deep and unwavering love for Ohio State and all things sports-related. Growing up in the Buckeye state, he was immersed in the vibrant culture of Ohio sports from a young age. Whether it’s cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes on the football field or the roaring excitement he showed when watching at home, Tony’s devotion to his state knows no bounds. Ohio State was not just a place for Tony; it was a way of life, and his passion for his birth state serves as a driving force in all aspects of his life.
Yet, it was not just his accomplishments that defined him but his benevolence and empathy that set him apart. Tony had a heart as vast as the ocean, ever-ready to lend a hand to those in need. His acts of kindness touched the lives of countless individuals, and his spirit of giving continues to ripple through the lives of those he touched.
As cancer attempted to shroud him in darkness, he displayed unwavering courage, facing the pain and uncertainty with a grace that left us in awe. The way he carried his burden, never allowing it to dim his spirit or dampen his love, left an indelible mark on our souls. Even amidst his own struggle, he offered us comfort, reminding us to cherish each moment and find joy in the simplest of pleasures.
He is survived by his loving mother, Alice and father Joseph, his devoted children Jorden, Kennadie and Liberty, and his adoring siblings Rosita and Joseph. Tony will be dearly missed by his extended family, friends, and all who knew him.
The void left by his absence is immeasurable, and grief weighs heavily upon us. But let us remember that the tears we shed are a testament to the love we shared, a love that shall remain eternal. Though he may have left this world, his memory will forever dance in the laughter of his children, echo in the conversations among family and friends, and resonate in the quiet moments we find ourselves seeking his guidance.
In our hearts, he shall forever dwell, a guardian angel watching over us with a love that knows no bounds. As we bid farewell to our beloved Tony, may we take solace in knowing that he is now free from pain, soaring among the stars, forever guiding us with his love. Though he may no longer be with us in the physical sense, his spirit will forever live on in the memories we hold dear. May we find comfort in knowing that he now rests in eternal peace, free from pain and suffering.
We love you. Rest peacefully until we meet again.
