Homer D. Sevits, 60, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born in Panama City, Panama on April 14, 1960.
Homer retired after working 40 years at Richland Screw Machine. He was proud of his family and loved them dearly. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and being a grandpa meant the world to him. He held a special place in his heart for his dogs, Bella and Cocoa. Homer loved to grill and have cookouts in the summer. He enjoyed going to gun shows and playing Texas hold’em. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns.
Homer is survived by his wife, Linda Sevits, whom he married on August 27, 1977; children, Bruce (Falon) Sevits, Kandi (Tim Cole) Sevits and Brandi Sevits; grandchildren, Destiny, Ethan, Faith, Serenity, Timmy and Caleb; father, Homer (Margarete) Beck; father, George (Kathy) Sevits; siblings, Donna Fenley, Donna (Ron) Benedict, Monica Beck, Mary (Evan) Benedict, Michael Blevins, Terry Blevins, April Sevits and Sherry (Gary) Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Sevits; daughter, Tiffany Sevits; mother, Nemia (Flores) Sevits; and brother, Billy Blevins.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond St., Mansfield. A service will follow thereafter beginning at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Hank Webb officiating. He will be laid to rest in Franklin Cemetery.
