Helen Louise Joyce “Lou” passed away on October 9, 2021, into the loving arms of our Lord, at age 88. Helen was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts November 6, 1932. She married her high school sweetheart Philip and they shared 68 years together.

Helen was a spitfire, with a dry sense of humor that could make a whole roomful of people laugh. She never hesitated to let you know her opinion, or what she felt was the truth, even though you might not want to hear it. Underneath it all she was a real pussycat. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter.

Left to honor her memory are her husband Phil of Fontana, daughter, Brenda Joyce (Stan), Dr. Pauline (Joe) Shipley, Christine (John) Strong, and Brian (Mary) Joyce. Grandchildren J.P. Shipley, Erin Shipley, Katie Shipley, Christopher (Ionela) Strong, Jennifer Strong, Maddie Joyce, Allie Joyce, Connor Joyce, and Rory Joyce, and great granddaughter Charlotte Strong.
