Helen Bernert, nee Schoepko, 98, of Palatine passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mom of Carl (Sharon) and Erika Dimitrijevic. Cherished grandma to Lisa (Michael), Laura (Brian), Erik (Joni) and Valerie (William). Proud great-grandma to Hannah, Ashley, Grace, Charlie, Andrew, Nikolas, Dylan, Lily, Liam and Josephine. Helen will be dearly missed by many friends and family. Her family would like to thank the nursing staff at Aperion Care Plum Grove for their thoughtful care. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15 from 10-11am with a prayer service beginning at 11am at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine IL 60067. Private interment at Irving Park Cemetery.
