Hayat A. Shenouda

With hope of the resurrection of our Lord, Hayat A. Shenouda, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2021, due to cardiac illness. She was born in Cairo, Egypt on July 2, 1931.
She was the much loved and cherished wife of Adli Shenouda, who survives her.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Alice, Angel and Ansaf, and two brothers, Kamal and Sobhy. She is the sister-in-law of Fathi, Nabil and Eva Sokkar.
She was a member of St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church.
In her last days, the words of comfort she offered everyone were “God is with us.” Her faith was great and she was an example to all. In dying as in her life, she prayed without ceasing. May God repose her soul in the paradise of joy.
A visitation will be from 9 am until time of funeral services at 10 am, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, 1600 So. Glenwood St.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
A luncheon will be served in the Fellowship Hall at St. Anthony.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Anthony in her memory.
