Hall Franklin Bright, Jr.

Hall Franklin Bright, Jr., 78, of Hendersonville, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Hall was born in Marion, NC on November 25, 1943, to the late Hall Franklin Bright, Sr. and Barbara Davis Bright. Hall is also preceded by his in-laws, William and Marjorie Ninness; and brother, Robert “Andy” Bright.
After high school, Hall entered the US Air Force following the receipt of the John Phillip Souza Award. He also played in the Air Force band. Hall attended McDowell Community College and Upstate University of South Carolina in Spartanburg.
Hall spent most of his career helping others as a social worker in Buncombe and Henderson Counties.
Hall is survived by his wife, Gail Ninness Bright and their dogs; sisters, Judy Bright Tokarsky (Bill) and Pam Bright (Jane); nieces and nephews; and close friends, including James Baldwin (Tina) with whom Hall shared a special friendship for over 50 years. His family and friends will miss him dearly and are grateful for his loving life.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hall’s memory to a charity of your choice. Memorial contributions may also be made in Hall’s memory to charities relating to his passions of children, dogs, and nature.
