Gwendolene Kate Hamlin

Gwendolene Kate Hamlin, 92, peacefully passed away on January 12^th. 2022 at Arbor Terrace of Asheville an assisted living facility.

Gwen was born in London, England to the late Richard and Kate Smith and preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert Hamlin in August 1998. In 2002 Gwen moved to the United States and lived in California until 2019 when she moved to Asheville, North
Carolina. She had become a US citizen in 2009, starting a new chapter in her life when she was 70!

Gwen is survived by her only child Chris Hamlin (Cathy); two grandchildren Elizabeth Kate Clarkson (Ross) and Alexander John Gerald Hamlin (Rachel); three great-grandchildren Sophia Clarkson, Olivia Clarkson, and Francesca Clarkson and by her 94-year-old sister Elsie Cox.
