Glenn Leroy Sheriff Jr.
Glenn Leroy Sheriff Jr., age 84, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Altercare of Navarre. Born June 25, 1937, in Shiloh, Ohio, he was the son of the late Georgia M. (Dials) and Glenn Leroy Sheriff Sr.
He retired after 39 years of service at General Motors. Glenn enjoyed playing Euchre, fishing, and gambling. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR, following his favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson closely. Glenn was generous, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking around with others, and had a bit of an ornery streak in him. Most of all, he cherished time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
Glenn is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Ruben) Martinez, Debra Hamilton, and Karin (Don) Ferrell; a son, Charles (Ruth) Sheriff; daughter, Rosa (Jerry) Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Barb) Sheriff; and many nieces, nephews and other dear relatives. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Lois E. Skidmore Sheriff; third wife, Janet Sheriff; parents; son, Stephen Sheriff; and brother, David Sheriff.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
