Gerard “Jerry” R. Mousseau

Gerard “Jerry” Raymond Mousseau, Jr., 76, of Hendersonville, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Jerry was born on October 1, 1944, in Leominster, MA, to the late Gerard Raymond Mousseau, Sr. and the late Lorraine Ida Boudreau.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Jerry worked in Information Technology for many years as both a programmer and an analyst.

Jerry was an avid sports fan, especially The Sox. He loved history and telling stories- the funnier the better. Jerry never met a stranger and always left a lasting impression. Jerry loved his sweet Caroline. He was a great father, and an even better Grandpa.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Caroline V. Mousseau; Son, Gary Mousseau (Shelly) of Knoxville, TN, daughter, Renee Mousseau of Marion, NC, and son, Jason Mousseau (Ashley) of Hendersonville, NC; Brother, Kenny Mousseau (Janet) of Athol, MA, sister, Gail Will (Art) of Orange, MA, brother, Billy Mousseau (Lori), of Athol, MA, brother, John Mousseau (Kathie) of Sebring, FL, sister, JoAnne King (Bruce) of Athol, MA, and sister, Cheryl Mousseau of Athol, MA. Jerry is also survived by his grandchildren, Caleb Austin, Zachary Austin, Jordan Austin, Grayson Austin, Amber Mousseau, Blake Taylor, and Zach Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Emily Beaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s memory to the Blue Ridge Humane Society.
