Geraldine M. Jenkins

Geraldine M. Jenkins, 92, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Community Hospice, Truman House at New Philadelphia.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth (Hewitt) Wise and a graduate of Dover High School. Geraldine was a homemaker and a longtime member of Roxford United Methodist Church at Dennison. She loved to quilt, work in her garden and was also an exceptional cook. You never left her home hungry. She also loved being with her grandchildren and was one of the most loving people that you could have ever met.

Surviving is her daughter, Sharon (Dan) Ryan of New Philadelphia; her son, Richard (Dotty) Jenkins of Dover, her sister, Mary Sheeley of Uhrichsville; her brother, Andrew Wise of Mineral City; six Grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren and three Great-Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Jenkins, her son Barry Jenkins and an infant son.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ron Heasley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Roxford United Methodist Church, 771 Roxford Church Road SE, Dennison, Ohio 44621, or, Community Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
