George Andrikokus passed away on July 12, 2021. Loving husband and best friend to his wife Kathryn, nee Till, for 30 years. Beloved father of Dana and Christine (Jon). Loving Papa of Drew, Danielle, Max and the late Kane. Great-Papa to Alma Jean. Beloved brother of Catherine, Mary and the late Michael (Joan) Andrews. Uncle and Grand-Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law of Carolyn (the late Richard) Zembron, Michael (Shirley) Till and the late Joseph M. Till, Jr. He was a loving Cat & Dog Daddy. He is survived by his loving Black Lab – Bella. George served on the Chicago Police Department for more than 32 years. After his retirement in 1994, he worked part time security jobs at both Midway and O’Hare Airports. George enjoyed flying small planes for more than 20 years. He also enjoyed his gym workouts all of his life, from 14-80 years old. Golfing became his passion. George was a natural born athlete. Early in his sophomore year at Lakeview High School he was placed on the Varsity Football Team as QB and held that position until graduation. He played Semi-Pro Football for the Bell Park Bears. He was a CYO Boxing Champion. He played softball, volleyball and bowling for the CPD. Visitation on Thursday, July 15 from 3-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 1104 Waukegan Rd. Glenview IL 60025, with a prayer service beginning at 7pm. Interment private.
