Geneva Pruitt Blackwell

Geneva Pruitt Blackwell, 83, of Hendersonville died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her home.

A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dora Pruitt. She is also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Nathan Blackwell.

Geneva is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Charles Boyce Blackwell, Sr.; three daughters, Crystal Blackwell Merrell (Leonard), Charlene Blackwell Watts (Kenny), and Cindy Blackwell Davis (Sean); two sons, Chuck Blackwell (Jeannie) and Clay Blackwell (Phyllis); 10 grandchildren, Perry Blackwell, Ricky Blackwell, Ashely Blackwell Sheppard, Corinna Kitchen Hill, Courtney Kitchen Flores, Jacie Watts Ward, Matthew Watts, Mac Merrell, Carla Merrell, and Garrett Merrell; 19 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clyde Pruitt and Eugene Pruitt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Reverend Joe Lund will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
