Gene Roy Ledford

Gene Roy Ledford, 58, of Hendersonville, died Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Pardee Hospital.

A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Lee Roy Ledford and Eva Mae King Ledford.  Gene was a 1981 graduate of East Henderson High School.  He was employed by Milkco Inc. and was of the Baptist faith.

Gene loved old cars, trains, wrestling, monster truck competitions, and the mountains.  His greatest love was listening to southern gospel music.

Gene is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sandra Butterfield Ledford; a son, Jonathon Ledford of Saluda, SC; a sister Mary Ledford of Hendersonville and Bertha Summey and her husband Dean of Edneyville; a brother, Daniel Ledford of Edneyville; a nephew, Ricky Summey; three nieces, Virginia Burrell and her husband Jimmy, Angel Ledford, and Faith Ledford; and one great-niece, Luna Burrell.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Hendersonville First Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
