Gary Scott Felton, Sr.

PENDLETON, NC – Gary Scott Felton, Sr., age 66, of Vaughan’s Creek Road, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home.

Gary was born on February 16, 1956 to the late George Leslie Felton and Ada Baker Harrell Felton in Gates County, North Carolina. Gary worked as a Supervisor for Georgia Pacific Chemical plant for many years. He was a dedicated and faithful member of The Carpenter Shop Church. His true passion was playing music. During his younger days he loved playing with the band “Hog Bear”, and later at the church where he did so as long as his health permitted. Gary loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Lisa Felton of Roanoke Rapids; his son, Gary Scott Felton Jr. and wife “Lizy” of Wilmington, NC; four grandsons, Jayden Felton, Terrant Bracy, Jr., Luke Felton, and Lawson Felton; a granddaughter, Terrionna Broady; and two brothers, Henry “Joe” Felton and wife Nikki of Gatesville, NC, and Carroll Felton and wife Wendy of Hobsville, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Carpenter Shop Church, Ahoskie, NC, with Pastor Wallace Phillips officiating.
