Frederick R. Engber

Frederick R. Engber, 79, of Polk, Ohio, died Saturday morning January 8, 2022 at Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born November 28, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Emil and Evelyn Buckhold Engber. He had one sister Evelyn Dunbar of Salamanca, NY who preceded him on April 4, 2015.

Mr. Engber was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed shopping and traveling abroad. He also enjoyed taking care of and showing his horses.

Surviving are three nieces, Devan (Benjamin) Tobias, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Megan (John Paul) Storley, Madison, Wisconsin and Erin (Rev. Glen) Johnson Jr., Westernport, Maryland.

Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, OH 44805. Fred will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Cemetery in Amherst, Ohio.
