Frederic C. Kelley

Frederic C. Kelley, of Newark, IL passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 15, 1935 in Ottawa, IL the son of Roy and Elda (nee Grossman) Kelley.

Fred was united in marriage on June 10, 1989 to Miss Deborah Spohnholz and they spent the next 34 years happily together.  Mr. Kelley worked for many years at Anson Industries of Melrose Park, IL. Later his passion became rescuing every stray cat or dog he saw in need. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Kelley of Newark, IL; his children, Susan (Tony) Bryzek of Wisconsin, Michael Kelley of Illinois, and David Kelley of Arizona; his grandchildren, Jarrett (Katie) Bryzek, and Katelyn Bryzek; his great-grandchildren, Emmett and Reed Daniel Bryzek; as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elda Kelley; his sister, Patricia Dougherty; and his son, James Kelley.

Services for Fred will be private. Interment will be held in Irving Park Cemetery at a later date.
