Frank West was born July 30, 1947 in Wheaton, Illinois to Frank, Sr., and Betty West. He passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison.
Frank grew up and lived in Sharon, Wisconsin. Frank married the love of his life, Katherine “Kay” Barnes on April 15, 1972. They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Frank worked for Sta-rite (Pentair) for over 35 years. Frank served over 25 years in the Sharon Fire and Rescue Department, 15 years as chief. Frank loved working with his hands and helping others with many different aspects of their lives. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his giving, caring heart, and his love of Diet Coke, Westerns, and football.
Frank is survived by his wife Katherine “Kay” (Barnes) West, daughters Rachel (Michael) Kundert and Erin (Mat) Faulkner, son Sean Lynch; grandchildren Jasmine, Allen, Finnegan, and Maximus; brother Don West, sister Linda Emler, sisters-in-law Patty Barnes and Sue Meredith, brother-in-law Rick (Jean) Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Roy and Marge Barnes and sister-in-law Barbara West.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Toynton’s Sharon Funeral Home, 210 Baldwin, Sharon.
