Frances Day

Frances Day, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Elmer and Grace (Miller) Sours, Frances was born August 11, 1935, at Midvale.
Frances graduated from the former Midvale High School in 1953. Then on October 24, 1958, she married Raymond David Day and the couple shared 63 years of marriage.
Frances enjoyed sitting on the porch with David and spending time with her grandkids and great-grand kids as they kept coming.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Adrian (Veronica) Day of Midvale, Eric (Amy) Day, and Sheila (Dave) Scott all of New Philadelphia, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nina Sours, Elva Johnson, Martha Hobart; and two brothers, George and David Sours as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by two brothers, Benton and Charles Sours.
A public graveside service will be held in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 10:00 am.
