Faye Lance Edney

Faye Lance Edney, age 90, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Monday, August 02, 2021, at Four Seasons Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, North Carolina with her loving family at her side. A native of Mills River, North Carolina, she was born on October 10, 1930, to the late Max and Stella Brittain Lance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Edney (2006); one daughter Sheala Keeling; two brothers, Lee Lance and Donald Lance; and one sister, Cathryn Phillips.
Faye, who enjoyed reading, was a published author and a historian of Mills River. She and her husband owned and operated Terrace Hill Roller Rink from 1955 till 1971. She proudly served in the ladies’ auxiliary for VFW and the American Legion. Faye was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved the Lord. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville.
Left to cherish her precious memories are two sons, Mike Edney (Wanda) of Hendersonville and Mark Edney (Diana) of Hendersonville; four grandsons, Justin (Jessica), Ryan, Branden and Andrew Edney; and one great grandson, Carter Lance Edney. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The date and time of service will be announced once it has been completed.
