Service for Evalene Howell, 86, of Glen Rose will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Glen Rose, Texas.  Reverend Rick Lineburger will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Glen Rose, prior to the service.

 

Evalene passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 in Glen Rose, to be with her Lord and Savior and join her husband Wayne (married over 65 years) who preceded her in death.

 

She was born February 5, 1935 in Cleburne, Texas to E.L. & Leola Smith Forsythe.

 

Evalene was an active member of First Baptist Church of Glen Rose. She and her husband were members of the Santa Fe Sams Travel Club and Glen Rose Antique Tractor Club. She was in the Laureate Iota Sigma Sorority. She was a farmer’s wife and enjoyed cooking, had many hobbies, loved spending time with family and friends and loved to travel.

 

She is survived by daughter, Kathy Keller and husband Kevin of Glen Rose; son Charles W. Howell Jr. and wife Sherry of Bono; five grandchildren, Christi Howard and husband Larry, Mindy Potts and husband Brannon, Cody Howell, David Howell, Kyle Keller and wife Katherine, 8 great grandchildren, Trevor, Kacie, Jake, Luke, Maddie, Bailey, Hudson and Tucker; sister-in-law Helen Fulfer; numerous nieces and nephews and a special thank you to her niece Debbie Haberthur who stood by her side during this difficult time.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents, sisters Faye Reagan and Joy Doyle, brother Reverend Leonard Forsythe and 5 nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cody Howell, David Howell, Kyle Keller, Trevor Howard, Jake Howard and Luke Howard.
