Eunie Marie Krone

Eunie Marie Krone, 92, of Riverton, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home. She was born July 17, 1929 in Coles, IL to Frederick and Vergia Foster Pierce. She married Clarence R. Krone on November 25, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2014.

Survivors include one daughter, Kayla Primm of Athens; one son, Randy (Toni) Krone of Riverton; four grandchildren, Casey (Amanda) Primm, Nate (Kathryn) Primm, Ethan Krone and Ellie (Ben) Tarr; two great grandchildren, Marshall and Daniel Primm; two sisters, Rita (George) Floyd of Gays, IL and Zula Hampson of Cartersville, GA; one brother, Walter C. (Alma) Pierce of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Morgan Primm and siblings, Rufus Pierce, Frederick Pierce, Dorothy Duggins, Ida Collier and Wayne Foster.

Eunie was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church, Faith Circle and Ruth Circle. She was an active member of the Sangamon County Homemakers Extension for many years. She was an an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling on leagues for 60 years.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Lie-in-State: 10 – 11 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Food Pantry or the Taylor Cemetery Association.
