Eugene Janoski Sr., age 86, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born on September 17, 1935 in Downers Grove, IL the son of Michael and Martha Janoski.
Eugene was united in marriage in 1955 to the former Barbara Jones and they spent the next 67 years happily together. He was employed for many years as an over the road truck driver. Eugene enjoyed farming and was a member of the DuPage County Farm Bureau. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Janoski of Yorkville, IL; his children, Eugene Janoski Jr. of Yorkville, IL, Theresa (Gregg) Gerke of Wheaton, IL, Joseph (Patricia) Janoski of Sandwich, IL, and Kathleen (Scott) Ballard of Naperville, IL; his 10 grandchildren, Eric, Lauren, David, Heather, Adam, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Jacob, Tyler and Kyle, and 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Martha Janoski; and his 13 siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will take place at a later date in Risen Lord Catholic Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
In lieu of flowers you may consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association or Season’s Hospice in Naperville.
