Emory Enneth Newby
Emory E. “Newb” Newby, 88, of Springfield, died at 11:15 am, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home. He was born October 23, 1934 in Carlinville, to Emory and Elta L. Smith Newby. He married Bobbie R. Denney on February 14, 2003 and she survives.
Also surviving are four children, Stephanie (Joe) Stone of Springfield, Kathy Price of Springfield, Sherry Hazen of Springfield, and Devin (Pat) Meyer of Roscoe; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lorraine McCubbin.
Enneth retired from CWLP after many years of service. He was a member of Calvary Church.
Visitation: 11 am – 12 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 12 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Paul Rose officiating.
Graveside Service: 2:30 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at White Hall Cemetery, White Hall, IL.
