Elizabeth Thorpe

Elizabeth Tyson Thorpe, age 92, departed for her heavenly home on March 12, 2021. She loved an adventure and spent her life mastering real estate sales, collecting antiques, traveling the world and vacationing in her beloved Hilton Head Island, building friendships and raising a family.

Elizabeth was a refined and gracious Southern Lady who never knew a stranger and treated everyone with warm hospitality and kind respect. She loved to entertain family and friends, serving gourmet meals and her famous coconut custard pie while sharing humorous anecdotes from her journeys.
It was in Williamsburg, Virginia where Elizabeth and her husband Pierce raised their family and she honed her real estate agent skills helping to transform Williamsburg from a sleepy college town with one stoplight into what it is today.

She is survived by her son Pierce Thorpe, son and his spouse Tyson & Tara Thorpe and her “adopted” family, Harry, Deb and Nick Roch. Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family and all who loved her!

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life during the summer of 2021.
