Elizabeth Marie Blackmore

Elizabeth (Beth) Marie Blackmore, 70, died April 17, 2021, in Hendersonville, NC.

Beth was born on May 5, 1950, in St. Mary’s Ohio to Jerrold and Betty Blackmore.  She attended St. Mary’s Memorial High School in St. Mary’s Ohio, graduating in 1968.  She met and married the love of her life, David Harshbarger in 1969 and they lived in Ohio before moving to Texas with their 4 children in 1984.  Upon David’s passing in 1997, Beth relocated to North Carolina, her home for the rest of her days.  Beth devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver and service aide to the elderly and homebound.

Beth enjoyed family, crafting, especially ceramics, reading, movies, playing Yahtzee, and her Cleveland Browns.  Beth never met a stranger, and she was always up for a family gathering or gathering with friends.  She was strong-willed and knew what she believed in.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeri Lyn Koblitz, and her husband, Jeff of Onalaska, WI, sons; Kevin Harshbarger and his wife, Jennifer of Odessa, TX, Joseph Harshbarger and his wife Sherrie of Travelers Rest, SC, and Jonathan Harshbarger and his wife, Amanda of Hendersonville, NC, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a brother Jerry and his wife Catherine, a sister, Amy, a brother John and his wife Sheila, a brother Joe and his wife Jennifer, a brother Jeff and his wife Penny, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jim, a sister, Becky, and her husband, David Harshbarger.
