Elizabeth “Beth” Ione Robison, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Prairieburg, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prairieburg, Iowa.

Beth was born on April 2, 1941, in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond Charles and Dorothey DuChaine (Black) Baughman. She attended Marion High School. Beth was united in marriage to Arlyn Lavern Long. She was employed at Quaker Oats for many years, until her retirement in 2003. She was influential and active on the Prairieburg Fire Department for over 35 years. For many years, she was also a bartender at Prairie Moon Ballroom. Beth loved doing arts and crafts and really enjoyed camping and fishing with her loved ones. She loved socializing, driving around town, going from house to house having coffee with all her friends. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest joy. Beth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beth is survived and lovingly remembered by her three children, Dennis Robison of Toledo, Iowa, Charles “Chuck” (Lori) Robison of Mason City, Iowa, and Lorrie Bell (fiancé, Robert Purdy) of Marion; five grandchildren, Jessica Robison, Matthew (Michelle) Robison, Riley and Kristy “Leela” Bell, and Caitlin Person; five great-grandchildren, Abel, Oliver, Jasper, Aurora, and Tess; and a sister, Patricia Schnell of Surprise, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlyn Long; identical twin sister, Dorothey “Deedee” DeRoche; daughter-in-law, Lou Robison; and brother-in-law, Willis Schnell.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the nurses and staff of Evergreen Estates for all the love, care, and support they gave to Beth during her stay.
