Edward Joseph Lynch of Fontana
Edward Joseph “EJ” Lynch was born August 6, 1941 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Edward and Helen (Carey) Lynch. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his home in Fontana, Wisconsin.
EJ was a dynamic businessman devoted to the well-being of his community. He also became an administrator at the Cook County Judicial System, facilitating programs for young people. An avid Cubs fan, he passed along his love of baseball to his children and grandchildren. He loved a good glass of wine, sailing and golf. He was known for his friendliness and sense of humor.
EJ is survived by his wife Christine J. (Vallee) Lynch, whom he married on October 15, 1966 in Lombard, Illinois; his sons Eddie (Maria) Lynch, Dan (Katie) Lynch, and Mike Lynch; grandchildren Molly, Betsy, Sean, Bridie, Luisa, John, and Emilie; brother Tom (Judy) Lynch ; sister Judy (Bill) Dooley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 137 Dewey Ave, Fontana WI on November 25, 2023 at 11:00AM.
