Of Janesville
Edith E. Nass, 100, passed away October 3, 2023 at Cedar Crest Janesville. She was the daughter of Olaf and Helena Jenson. She was born November 1, 1922 in Plymouth Township.
She graduated from Beloit High School, then married Robert Nass on May 27, 1972 at Luther Valley Church. She worked at Chester’s Clothing Store as a clerk and also did their alterations.
Robert and Edith moved to Woodland Park, Colorado where they had a Country & Western Store – Edith’s Town and Ranch. Some time after that Robert and Edith retired to Arizona.
Edith is survived by nieces and nephews Lyle & Martha Schmidt, Henry & Terry Severson, Cora Ann Blytas, Terry & Donna Nass, Phil and Debbie Nass, Randi Doubleday, James Nass, Larry & Carol Nass, Scott & Cathy Nass; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Edith enjoyed crocheting and sewing, doing alterations for many years.
In the past few months she would look at us at times and we could get “the wink and a smile”. Edith was a wonderful, caring person, always ready to help someone in need. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon, WI. Pastor Tom Kreis of Luther Valley Church will officiate. The memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
