Earl Ernest Patterson Jr.

Earl Ernest Patterson Jr. affectionately called “Fink” was born on April 22,1926 to the late Nora (Jenkins) Patterson and Earl Patterson. He had four siblings Earline Mines(deceased), Mildred Jean Hudson (deceased), Ruth Patterson (Deceased) and Willie Patterson (Deceased). He was the second oldest of five children. Earl dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God were he served in many capacities, Sunday school, church bus driver, boy scout leader and many other titles. In later years he attended Arlington Road Church of God until failing health.
Earl attended Cleveland Public schools and joined the United States Army in 1955 and discharged in October of 1957.
Earl met and married the love of his life Josephine (Scott) Patterson in September of 1947; to this union one child was born Algelee Patterson (deceased), one granddaughter Shantele Norwood, one grandson Al Patterson (deceased), four great-grandchildren Lura, Casey, Malcom(deceased) Arionna, and nine great-great- grandchildren.
Earl had various of jobs working at J&G Transport. Which allowed him to travel all over the east coast for over thirty years. He also worked for Boyd & Son funeral home were he never met a stranger and could hold a conversation with the best of them. He loved Chrysler cars any makes and model.
Earl fought a courageous battle with a chronic illness, he departed this life on February 9, 2022
He leaves to carry on his legacy a loving wife Josephine; granddaughter Shantele Norwood (Raymond), Three great-grandchildren Lura Brooks (Anthony). Casey Hughley, Arionna Patterson, nine great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Willie Robberson, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
