Duane R. Krug

Duane R. Krug, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at The Pearl at the Tillers in Oswego, IL. He was born on July 19, 1944 and raised in Yorkville, IL, the son of Robert and Alice (Johnson) Krug.
He was united in marriage on February 26, 1971 to Miss Pamela L. Chambers after a whirlwind romance, and they spent the next 40 years together until her passing on May 11, 2011.
Like his father before him, Duane was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in both Germany and France. He was employed for many years as an accountant and later delivered equipment for Gordon Flesch. Duane was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Kristina Krug of Nashville, TN, Robert Krug of Plano, IL and David Krug of Sandwich, IL; his three granddaughters, Destiny Krug, Chloe Bird, and Koki Williams; a very special aunt with whom he shared a birthday and lots of laughs, Delores Elliot of Indianapolis, IN; his sister-in-law, Barbara Krug of Hartland, WI, and his beloved canine companion, Bella.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Krug; his wife, Pamela L. Krug; and his brother, Ronald Krug.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 IL-47, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
