Dorothy Jane Walker McGuinn

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 08, 2021, Dorothy Jane Walker McGuinn, age 89, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, made that wonderful cross over into Heaven at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville.  Known by many as Jane, she was born in Polk County, North Carolina on May 05, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Joe and Nora Jane Splawn Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Mac” McGuinn, who passed away on January 13, 2018; three sisters, Hilda Arrowood, Gilreath Hodges, Mary Shehan; and two brothers, Ed Walker and Bill Walker.

Jane was a true supporter of her late husband, who was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  During his military time, together, they had traveled to many locations.  Having had many hobbies and enjoyed crafts, Jane graciously and lovingly helped those in need before herself.  She was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her precious memories are two daughters, Sandra Cornelius (Ron) and Barbara Gregory; one son, Marvin Douglas McGuinn; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Mae Moss.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Roy Waldroup officiating.
