Donna Jo Haynes-Duckworth
- May 6, 2021
Donna Jo Haynes-Duckworth, born May 14, 1954 in El Paso, TX, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 only seventeen days after Larry, her beloved husband of thirty-eight years, where she joined him in eternal rest. She and Larry met in El Paso, TX and eventually settled in Granbury, TX in 1994. She became an active member of the community and formed long lasting friendships. Her favorite pastimes were spent traveling to the cooler breezes in the New Mexico mountains where lush pine trees and majestic views were the idyllic spot for her family retreats, pie baking and cookouts. She also enjoyed finding any sort of project to do or puzzle to solve whether it was a game, crafting project or helping someone out. A devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, Donna will be missed by all whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her love, generosity, conversational humor and willingness to lend a hand to those in need. She is survived by her son David Austin Duckworth, step-children Clifton Duckworth and Kara Duckworth Smith, and siblings Paul Stephen Haynes, Tina Haney, Pam Smeltzer and Connie Gibbons. A private gathering to celebrate her life will be held in Cloudcroft, NM at a future date. Her family requests that contributions in her memory be made to cancer research.
