Donna “Donnie” Kay Strode

Donna “Donnie” Kay Strode, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born September 1, 1940, in Springfield, the daughter of Floyd and Charlotte Beach Strode and they preceded her in death.

Survivors include her siblings, Martha Young of Springfield and F. Eugene (Sue) Strode of Frederick; special cousins, Jan Medley and Jackie Beach of West Terre Haute, IN, Joan (Rick) Edwardson of Danville and Barbara (Tony) Joy of Indianapolis, IN; special nephew, Tim (Simone) Young of Rochester; along with several other nieces, nephews and many dear friends; special friend, Mary-Jo Gardiner; and caregivers, Pat Kmett and Peg Canum.

Donnie graduated from Lanphier High School in 1958. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church for 50 years. She worked in various positions including buyer and purchasing agent before retiring as Business Administrator at Third Presbyterian Church.

A private graveside service was held at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
