Donna A. Gram, 70, of Springfield, died at 7:15 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was born September 24, 1950, in Alton to Walter Downing and Gladys Jewel Franklin. She married Jack A. Gram on March 25, 1972, and he survives.
Also surviving two children, Caryn (Jake) Tripp of Springfield and Nicholas (Katie) Gram of England; one grandchild, Emerson Tripp and one brother, Bobby (Claudia) Downing of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Leroy Albers and one sister, Linda Downing.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served as president of Lady’s Aid for two years. She enjoyed Reading, Crossword puzzles and spending time with family.
She retired from the Department of Mental Health for the State of Illinois after more than 30 years. After retirement, she worked as a Program Coordinator at Lincoln Land Community College.
Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Rev. Paul Hemenway officiating. Burial will follow at Irish Grove Cemetery.
