Donald S. Hathaway

Donald S. Hathaway, 86, of Bolivar, passed away January 3, 2023 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.
Born in Grantsville, West Virginia on March 22, 1936, he was the son of the late Russell and Gay Florence (Burrows) Hathaway.
After graduating from Calhoun City High School in 1954, Don married the former Virginia Ann Varwsko, on October 26, 1957.
Don retired as a plant manager with Bocko Inc.
Don was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a member of AAA, the NRA, and the Church of the Holy Trinity at Zoar. Additionally, he loved to go on his yearly elk hunt with friends in Colorado.
Don is survived by his son, Randy (Pam) Hathaway, Sr. of North Canton; one grandson, Randy Hathaway, Jr. of Bolivar; three grandchildren, Jennifer L. (Gary) Sheldon of Columbus, Autumn (Robby) Drews of North Canton, and Alexandra (Sean) Ellis of Greentown; great-grandchildren, Katelin, Emily, and Bailey Hathaway, Parker Seemen, Avery Drews, and Jackson and Harper Ellis. Additionally, Don is survived by his siblings, Mary Lamar and Mona (Dave) Weber; and sister-in-law, Sue Hathaway.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, in 2008; his son, Donald P. Hathaway; and his siblings, Ronzel, Larry and Hoy Hathaway, Betty Acker, Nina Bateman, Murdain “Dee” Fiorillo, and Carol Caraway.
Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and inurnment will be in St. Stephens Catholic Cemetery at Bolivar, Ohio.
