Derona Lynn Gay “Nonie” Schuler
HIGH POINT, NC – Derona Lynn Gay “Nonie” Schuler, 66, formerly of Conway, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the High Point Medical Center.
Nonie was born on July 29, 1956 to Clinton Merrell Gay and Raye Harris Gay in Roanoke Rapids, NC. She was the apple of her family’s eyes. She was a wonderful driver, may have been because she started at the age of 5 years old driving a riding lawn mower and would help her granddaddy on the big farm truck. Nonie always used her hands with crocheting, always making those perfect stitches and doing it so rapidly. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by father, Clinton Merrell Gay.
Nonie is survived by her beloved husband, Jim of the home, and her mother, Raye Gay of Conway.
In honoring Nonie’s wishes, the family will plan a celebration of life gathering at a later date to reminisce about precious memories of her.
