Delores “Jerry” Overman

Delores “Jerry“ Overman, 83, of Springfield, went to sleep with the angels at 11:36 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home. Delores was born January 11, 1938 in Springfield the daughter of James Wesley and Ethel Mae (Hunt) Allen.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Robert) Wiggins of Springfield and Cindy Sodaro; son, Terry (Sarah) Roderick of Sherman; four grandchildren, Michael (Jesi) Roderick, Taylor Montgomery, Brittany (Joseph) Genovese and Evan (Anne) Hocking and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Umholtz and two brothers, Wesley James and Harold Allen.

Jerry managed Victory Bingo Hall for many years.

Private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors.

CDC protocol shall be followed.
