David (Beef) Klaren, 59, of Monticello died Monday, September 30, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Pastor Bill Warhover will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Thoughts, Memories and Condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com.
Surviving are his son Josh, 3 grandchildren, Myah, Noella and Jensen, his parents, Wayne and Ann Klaren, and a sister, Sara (Kevin) Wilgenbusch. He was preceded by his wife Jennifer and his brother Jerry.
David Richard Klaren was born July 6, 1965, at Mason City, Iowa, the son of Wayne and Ann White, Klaren. David graduated from Beckman High School in Dyersville with the class of 1983. He started working at Dyersville Die Cast. He then moved to Chicago for a while where he worked in a plastic molding plant making auto parts. He returned to the area and was a forklift operator at Lumber Specialties. David married Jennifer Redmond at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello in 1995, she passed in March of 2021. Health problems caused him to retire early in 2018. David was an avid Packers fan. He really loved time spent with his grandchildren.
