Darik  Kohler

Darik Kohler, 37, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born June 28, 1984 in Washington, DC the son of Charles Edward Kohler III and Barbara Louise (Helms) Kohler.

Darik was a graduate of Ashland High School where he played football, wrestling and was on the Chess team. He worked in the manufacturing field at Stoneridge. Darik was a kind, easy going person with a gentle soul and a big heart and smile. A family man, Darik enjoyed being involved in his son’s activities whether it was Cub Scouts, soccer, football or baseball. He enjoyed spending time at the park, camping, playing video games and strategy games such as Chess and Risk.

Darik was a member of Ontario Christian Church where he volunteered in several areas including Vacation Bible School, Junior Church Teacher and various other activities.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Ling) Kohler; his sons, Lance and Zachariah; his parents, Charles and Barbara Kohler; his brother, Charles (Amber) Kohler IV; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeff and Martha Ling; his brothers-in-law, Robert Ling and Jason (Jessica) Ling; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Marlene Kohler and William and Gwendolyn Helms.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Ontario Christian Church, 1029 Lewis Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903 conducted by Pastor Steve Broughton. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darik Kohler Memorial Fund thru any PNC Bank.
