Cynthia Melissa Pryke, 63, Passed away in Williamsburg, VA on Friday, April 29, 2021 after. She was born in Ohio to the late William and Niaphrata Pryke. Cindy earned her Master’s Degree after attending both William and Mary and Christopher Newport University. She worked for LexisNexis Risk Solutions as an Instructional Designer. She loved to read and even wrote four books. She also loved animals helped with Dachshund Rescue for 12 years as well as teaching Western and English style horseback riding. Despite a lifetime of struggling with many different illnesses, Cindy courageously battled every obstacle in her way. At the young age of 18 Cindy had a tumor the size of a small watermelon taken out of her. Over the following years she survived breast cancer, two open heart surgeries, five bouts of pancreatitis, a hernia and hysterectomy. She also lived with diabetes and liver complications. Cindy was a member of Church of God, a Worldwide Association (COGWA). She is survived by her sister, Sheri Pryke and niece, Jenifer Pryke. A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 3:00pm at the Greek Orthodox Church located at 4900 Moretown Road in York County. Services will be officiated by Pastor Lambert Larry.
