Cynthia Kay Kehl, 67, of Center Point, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Corridor Crossing Place in Cedar Rapids. A private family memorial service and burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Cynthia was born on July 8, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of James and Wanda (Johnson) Jakubec. She graduated from Jefferson High School. Cynthia was united in marriage to Siegfried Kehl on Dec. 7, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked at General Mills and retired after 20 years of service.
She was known for her exquisite piano and singing skills. She enjoyed tending to her garden, fishing and was an animal lover. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family. Cynthia had a heart of gold and a smile for everyone she met. She was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Siegfried Kehl; a daughter, Summer (Ken) Leffler; three grandchildren, Ali, Anwir and Faith Algharib; sister-in-law, Rita (Roger) Guyer; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kehl; a nephew, Steve (Michelle) Michalec; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Brook, Noah and Madison Michalec.
Cynthia was preceded by her parents; father-in-law (they were two peas in a pod), Steven Kehl; a brother, James Jakubec III; and her daughter, Emily Hope Lawrence.
