Curtis Earl Roberson, 62, of Hiawatha, Iowa, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Curtis was born March 16, 1960, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of R.B. and Willie Belle (Gross) Roberson. He graduated from Berkley Senior High School, Class of 1978. Curtis served in the United States Army. He loved fishing and spending time with his sons and wife. Curtis enjoyed going on walks, BBQing, and going to the park in the summertime with his wife and children. He also loved playing dominos and card games with his buddies.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Sattizahn; sons, Curtis J. Roberson Jr., Tyler Roberson, Leviticus Roberson of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Genesis Roberson of Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Christeen Hubbert of St. Louis, Mo.; mother and father-in-law, Marilyn and Ron Sattizahn; brother-in-law, Tim Sattizahn; sister-in-law, Lori Sattizahn; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Willie Belle (Gross) Roberson; sister, Willie Beatrice; and brother, James B.
