Cung Hong Duong

Cung Hong Duong, 63 of Springfield died on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home. He was born August 17, 1958, in Saigon, Vietnam to Gia Duong and Ai Ngo and precede him in death.

Survivors include two brothers, Andy (Christine Banks) Trinh and Ben (Sarah Musch) Trinh both of Springfield and one niece, Sarah Trinh.

Cung graduated from the University of Saigon and from LLCC in auto mechanics. He as a “movie buff” and loved collecting VHS, DVD’s, and Kung Fu movies. He enjoyed comic books, reading, western movies and was always looking for a good deal.

He resided in Vietnam for the first thirty years and has resided in the United States the past thirty-three years.

He worked with local Springfield restaurants as a cook and retired from Regency Health Care in 2020 from the laundry department. He previously had worked for Sears and Firestone as an auto mechanic.

Graveside Service: 11 am, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
