Corrine E. Betcher, 104, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Clarence Senior Living in Clarence, Iowa. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Private burial family will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials in Corrine’s name may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Camp Shalom.

Corrine was born on Feb. 27, 1920 in Mechanicsville, Iowa to William and Edith Robinson. She graduated from Mechanicsville High School in 1937; following high school she attended AIC Business School. Corrine was united in marriage to Marvin Betcher on Aug. 17, 1941. While Marvin was in the United States Army, she worked at Fort Louis in Washington and earned several commendations for her work. When they moved back to Davenport, Corrine worked as the bookkeeper for Marvin’s business, Marvin & Allen Hairdressers. Corrine was an active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church; she was a part of WELCA, the Quilters, and served on the Altar Guild for many decades well into her 90’s. She loved going for walks with her friends at the NorthPark Mall. Most of all, Corrine was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory are her two daughters Sue Krueger and Lisa (Les) Schnekloth; grandchildren Tom Krueger, Kelly Krueger, Jason (Jen) Housley, Luke Schnekloth, and Caleb Schnekloth; great-grandchildren Shalynn, Sydney, Isaiah, and Landon; great-great-granddaughter Aurora; her brother Calvin (Fran) Robinson; sister-in-law Mary Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; her parents; and five brothers, Gorman, Narvis, Quentin, Victor, and Casper; along with her niece Joann.
