Corey Dwayne Stein left this world suddenly on Aug. 5, 2022, at age of 51. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Surviving are the love of his life, Linda; his two sons, Kevin and Dennis; his mother, Diane Stein; his sister, Dea Jo (Darryl) Ray; his “brother,” Aaron Steadman; nephews; and his treasured dog, Cobra.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Stein; and his devoted cat, Crazy.
Corey was a talented guitarist. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career and he played in several bands in Tennessee, Iowa and Illinois. Throughout his life, he never lost his passion for music.
Corey had many hobbies, some of them include bird watching, photography and fast cars. He loved spending time with his sons, and enjoyed building Lego sets, playing video games, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, fishing and riding the ATV.
Corey was gifted with the ability to make anyone feel welcomed. His talent earned him many awards and trips with Verizon being in the Top 5 Performers in the country. He became ordained and married two of his great friends; he was a counselor and a clown with an infectious, memorable laugh and made it a point to make people smile.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 311 W 7th St., Columbia, TN, 38401.
Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Polk Memorial Gardens 6465 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, TN 38401.
