Colleen Joyce Hilton Becker was born April 10, 1932 in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She was welcomed into this world by her loving parents Charles Emory and Gladys (Fisher) Hilton. Colleen married Robert Becker on August 21, 1950. The couple later divorced, but were blessed with three children. Colleen is survived by son, Ronald of Newhall; daughter, Susan (Jamie) Bryson of Amana; daughter-in-law, Cathy (Rex) Maile of Atkins; grandchildren, Aric (Kelly) Becker, Angela Becker, Carissa (Michael) Bissen, Renata (Kyle) McKenna, Reese (Charissa) Bryson, Laura (Sam) Burleson, Rachel (Sean) Seabold, Stephen Becker; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Stephen, brother Larry Hilton and very special friend, Mel.

Colleen enjoyed the finer things in life and was happy to share her expertise in retail at Smulekoff’s and Armstrong’s for many years before retiring from Siebke Hoyt. She then created her business Heritage China where she continued to help clients replace lost or broken china pieces and stemware with her vast collections, which she acquired through her love of attending auctions with her friend, Mel.

When it became too difficult to live alone, she moved in with her daughter Susie, before residing at Lakeview Village and then finally at Colonial Manor in Amana. She then became an avid reader of mystery novels.

The family would like to thank Lakeview Village and Colonial Manor for their tender, wonderful care of our mother.
