She was born on July 9, 1969, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Patrick “Stump” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Lukan) Sauser. She is a 1987 graduate of Cascade High School. On November 23, 1991, she was united in marriage to Mark Simon at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa.

Tina was a very social person and was active all the time. She was very passionate about chasing her kids sports dreams, in basketball and baseball, which took them traveling all over the US. She was also the team mom devoted to the Cascade Reds. You only had to glance at her home to know that she was very passionate about it being immaculate and pristine, including the yard and her flower gardens.

During the pandemic she adopted an Aussie Doodle, named Nitro, and for the past four and a half years he has been the greatest companion and therapist to her through her journey.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Simon and two sons, Bryce Simon (& Regann), Brock Simon; and a daughter Jordan Simon all of Cascade, IA; her father, Patrick “Stump” Sauser of Cascade, IA; one sister, Dawn (Nate) Otting of Cascade, IA; a brother, Todd Sauser of Cascade, IA; her mother-in-law, Judith Simon of Thunder Hills, IA, and brothers and sisters-in-laws, Dave (Dana) Simon and Shane (Patti) Simon all of Cascade, IA; and her ten nephews, Logan, Mason and Brody Otting, Dilan, Carter, Tanner, Travis and Chase Simon and Evan and Blake Simon.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Sauser on October 13, 1998; her father-in-law, Merlin Simon on April 18, 1998; and her grandparents, Paul and Ann Sauser and Al and Leona Cherne.
